What is Bend?

common Standards bends

Pipe bends are universally manufactured according to ASME B16.9, DIN2605, GB12459, EN1092 etc. ASME B16.9 is the most common one in the world. Generally the bend radius is up to the engineering design.

European Standards bends

The pipe bend is produced as per standard DIN 2605 and EN 1092, it is usually ordered by European customers. The Most frequent radius of pipe bend is 5D that is equivalent to 3D in the standard of ASME B16.9.

Chinese standards bends

GB12459 is the Chinese standard for steel pipe fittings. In this standard there are the technical specifications about pipe bend with radius 3D. Certainly for other radii, the technical data can be calculated based on 3D data.
