Galvanized steel pipe manufacturer & supplier in China
Galvanized pipe is a pipe with a layer of zinc plated on the surface. The pipe material of galvanized pipe is generally carbon steel. The purpose of galvanizing is to improve the corrosion resistance of the pipe and increase the service life of the pipe. It’s a very affordable option.
What is Galvanized steel pipe?

Galvanized steel pipe is divided into hot-dip galvanized steel pipe and cold galvanized steel pipe. Hot-dip galvanized steel pipe has some advantages such as thick galvanized layer, strong adhesion and long service life. Cold galvanized steel pipe has low cost but the surface is not smooth and the corrosion resistance is worse than hot-dip galvanized steel pipe, which has been banned from use.
Because there is one zinc layer on the surface, galvanized steel pipe is effective to avoid the corrosion and rust issue of steel pipe that can help to improve the service life of common steel pipe, but which also depends on the galvanizing technique of the factory. Metleader has more than 40 years experience for steel pipe manufacturing and has very advanced galvanizing equipment and technique, which all provide the effective guarantee that our galvanized steel pipe can serve for more than 15 years.
At present our galvanized steel pipe has been widely applied to ship building, nuclear power, ocean engineering, petroleum, chemical, mining, wastewater treatment, natural gas and pressure vessel industries. And exporting to more than 60 countries and areas and maintaining cooperation with many top enterprises.
Classification Of Galvanized Steel Pipes As Galvanizing Type

Hot-dip galvanized steel pipe
The wall thickness of thin wall galvanized steel pipe is generally below 2mm and the common galvanized steel pipe is 0.8-2.0mm. The surface is flat and smooth and the zinc layer is uniform and dense, with good brightness and luster, and the decorative effect is good. Produce different sizes to meet customers’ various needs.

Cold galvanized steel pipe
Cold galvanizing steel pipe is also called electro-galvanized pipe. The zinc ions are deposited on the surface of steel pipes by electrochemical reaction to form a protective layer. This way has high production efficiency but the zinc layer is too thin and the steel materials are easily corroded under normal conditions. The thickness of zinc is 5-15μm.
Classify galvanized steel pipe as thickness

Thin wall galvanized steel pipe
The wall thickness of thin wall galvanized steel pipe is generally below 2mm and the common galvanized steel pipe is 0.8-2.0mm. The surface is flat and smooth and the zinc layer is uniform and dense, with good brightness and luster, and the decorative effect is good. According to the standard to produce different sizes to meet customers’ various needs.

Middle wall galvanized steel pipe
The wall thickness of middle wall galvanized steel pipes are 2.0-4.5mm, which are widely used for water supply and drainage, HVAC, low pressure gas pipeline and so on. Metleader has the full series of hot-dip galvanized steel pipes and fittings as per BS EN 10255:2004, stock supply to meet the immediate needs of our customers.

Thick wall galvanized steel pipe
The wall thickness of thick wall galvanized steel pipe is generally above 4.5mm and the common wall thickness is 4.5-6.0mm. The diameter of thick wall galvanized steel pipe is generally 17.2-323.9mm. The corrosion resistance of thick wall galvanized steel pipe so the service life is longer than others. And it also can bear more pressure.
Classify galvanized steel pipe as production way

Galvanized welded steel pipe
There are two production types for galvanized welded steel pipe, one is to produce it directly by galvanized steel strip the other one is to produce welded steel pipe firstly and then to galvanize the pipes. The surface of galvanized welded steel pipe should be straight and smooth without cracks, scarring, delamination, misalignment, hard bending, burrs, indentation and deep lines.

Galvanized seamless steel pipe
Galvanized seamless steel pipe is usually hot-dip galvanized. Galvanized seamless steel pipes are widely used in construction, machinery, chemical industry, electric power, petroleum and other fields. In the construction field, galvanized seamless steel pipes are mainly used in building frames, plumbing pipes, etc..
Applications
Construction field: applied to the water supply, drainage and heating systems inside of buildings.
Industrial field: used for the transportation of petroleum, water and chemicals.
Agriculture and horticulture: used in irrigation systems and aquaculture.
Municipal infrastructure: such as water supply and sewer system.
Transportation: to produce the frames or chassises of railway vehicles and car industry.
Energy field: structural components for nuclear power plants.
Other applications: such as steel scaffolding, vegetable greenhouses, fire fighting facilities, site threading pipe, etc.
Quality Assurance
1) Abandon the backward electrical galvanized way, all our galvanized pipes are hot-dip galvanized to ensure the quality of galvanized.
2) The coating thickness is very important . It is usually between 35 microns and 85 microns, according to different use environment and customer requirements to provide different thickness.
3) According to the surface quality requirements of the galvanized pipe in the regulations. Ensure that there are no defects such as delamination and crack in the use of galvanized pipe.
4) To ensure the quality and safety of galvanized pipe, it’s necessary to test its bending degree. We always used three bending tests: 1. Bending test method 2. Splint test method 3. Measurement method
