What is Gate Valve?
A gate valve is a linear motion valve used to fully open or fully close the flow in a pipeline. It uses a gate or wedge disc to move up and down, making it suitable for on/off service rather than flow throttling.

Steel Gate Valve

Forged Steel Gate Valve

Screw Gate Valve

Welding Gate Valve

How to Select Gate Valve?

How it works?
The working principle of a gate valve is to control the flow of fluid by the up-and-down movement of a valve plate within the valve body.
- The detailed process is as follows: Opening the valve with the handwheel causes the valve stem to move upwards, raising the valve plate. This allows the medium to flow through.
- Closing the valve by turning the handwheel clockwise closes the valve, causing the valve stem to move downwards and lowering the valve plate. This blocks the flow of fluid.
