What is pipe Tee?

Pipe tee as one type of pipe fittings plays a very important role in pipelines. It can connect the pipes with same or different diameters from three directions. Quality fully guarantees the safety of pipe tee that will refer to the safety of the whole pipeline.
Pipe tee can be made of different materials carbon steel, alloy steel and stainless steel are the most common. The choice for material is decided by the project design and the fluid transported in the pipelines. Carbon steel pipe tee is widely used for the pipelines with general usage middle and low pressure. Alloy steel pipe tee is specially applied for high temperature and pressure pipelines. And the stainless steel pipe tee is mainly used for the pipelines that transport the corrosion fluid because of its resistance to corrosion.
For the production process of pipe tee there are two ways cold forming and hot forming. No matter which way pipe tees are all extruded the branches from the main pipes. That decides pipe tee easily cracks compared with other pipe fittings. So pipe tee must proceed hot treatment and 100% inspection before delivery.

Quality Assurance
1) Raw material inspection: We have the corresponding CQ system and reference standards. Before the raw materials into warehousing, we will carry out chemical analysis and mechanical property testing. If the testing result is unqualified, the raw materials will be return to the suppliers.
2) Technology inspection: In the production process, there are many testing items aimed at the pipe tees, such as diameter, wall thickness, ovality, DIN inspection, mechanical testing, etc. All of these testing items are according to the specification standards to ensure the quality of pipe tees.
3) Heat treatment and 100% inspection: Pipe tees are extruded the branches from the main pipes, and it is easier to cracks compared to other pipe fittings. Therefore, in order to reduce the risk of cracks, the pipe tees must be heat treated and 100% inspected before delivery to improve the mechanical properties.
